Today, and every day, we thank those brave men and women that have served, and those currently serving, the United States of America. Today, November 11 is the official holiday to honor all our veterans. Please call and thank a veteran today. Perhaps take a veteran for coffee or a meal. Visit a hospitalized veteran. We, the Colorado Traveling Ducks and our humans, pause to reflect on how much we owe our veterans.

In Australia, we call 11 November Remembrance Day. It’s the same sentiment though and we particularly remember the end of WW1 at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month.
I believe our holiday also started in remembrance of World War I, but has now expanded to all veterans. Many businesses offer special deals or free meals to veterans and present members of the Armed Forces on November 11. Always good to remember those that protect us and our way of life.
