Today is the second Sunday in May. In the United States and many other countries, that means Mother’s Day. We honor our mothers and all women, especially those that have helped, loved or cared for a child. We honor all women for their role in our society. Moms, we hope you enjoy your special day.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone from the Colorado Traveling Ducks. Mother’s Day became an official holiday in the United States in 1914 when President Woodrow Wilson signed the declaration. In the United States Mother’s Day is celebrated the second Sunday in May. In the UK Mother’s Day is celebrated the fourth Sunday of Lent. Mother’s Day honors mothers and the influence of mothers in society. Mother’s Day is expanded to honor mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and women in general. We, the Colorado Traveling Ducks will be proud to take the human women to dinner today. We ducks, and our human males, appreciate all the human females do for us and society in general. Happy Mother’s Day to all.

Wikipedia says Mother’s Day started in the United States in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton, West Virginia. She was successful in 1914 to have Mother’s Day recognized as a holiday in the United States.
Mother’s Day is celebrated in many countries of the world, mostly in the spring.
