Happy Halloween 2015
Halloween Party in Chatanika, Alaska
I, Zeb the Duck, have news from Alaska. Eider Duck, my Alaska cousin, sent me these pictures. Eider and the humans go to Chatanika, Alaska, a town near Fairbanks, for the Halloween party.
Eider said he had a lot of fun. Some people wear costumes.
The decorations are pretty fantastic.
Eider says everybody has a lot of fun.
The bar and restaurant also has a few motel rooms, so many people stay for a night or two.
People have a wonderful time in Chatanika.
Eider, be careful. Is this party safe for feathered creatures??
Thanks for sending these photos, Eider. Looks like you had a crazy, but great, Halloween party. We all hope you have fun for Halloween. Remember, have fun and be safe. Halloween is a holiday for all ages to have a great time.
Labor Day 2015
Happy Labor Day. We, the Colorado Traveling Ducks, and their humans, wish you a very happy weekend. In 1887, President Grover Cleveland officially declared the first Monday of September to be a national holiday. This first Monday of September honors the American Labor Movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country. Although Labor Day is considered the official end of summer, we hope you enjoy many more sunny, summer like days. Happy Labor Day 2015

Today, June 14, is Flag Day in the United States. According to the History Channel, June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution stating that the flag of the United States be 13 stripes, alternate red and white, and the union be 13 stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation. Today the stripes represent the 13 original colonies and the 50 stars represent the 50 states of the United States of America. Flag Day, 2015, is also the 240th birthday of the U. S. Army. Today, the Colorado Traveling Ducks hope you proudly and properly display the American Flag.

Today is May 5, or cinco de mayo. This is a holiday in Mexico and is also celebrated in many places in the United States. May 5, 1862 the French army was defeated at the Battle of Puebla in Mexico. The smaller Mexican army was able to defeat the French. This was a great victory for Mexico. However, the French did eventually win and ruled Mexico for several years. This festival is also a celebration of the culture of Mexico. If you go to a festival for cinco de mayo we believe you have great time. Enjoy this holiday.
